Odsonne Edouard has been in scintillating form for Celtic so far in 2020, scoring seven goals in five Premiership matches since the winter break and taking his tally to 23 for the season, making him the club’s top scorer for the campaign so far.
The 22-year-old struck twice against Motherwell in midweek, his second goal a sublime free kick, for his third brace in his last four matches, having also hit doubles against Ross County and Hamilton in recent outings (as per TransferMarkt). Following that purple patch of form, Hoops-focused Twitter channel @CelticGossip made their feelings about the striker patently clear.

Edouard reportedly earns less than £30,000 a week at Parkhead (according to Football Insider) but has earned transfer interest from English Premier League high fliers Leicester (Daily Record) as well as Champions League participants Borussia Dortmund (Sky.de‘s Man Bielefeld, via Sport Witness) and Napoli (Daily Mail) in recent months.
The Frenchman has now scored 56 goals in 118 games for Celtic and, after seeing the tweet from @CelticGossip, these Hoops fans on Twitter echoed the calls for the club to do whatever they can to keep him at Parkhead. One supporter opined that the 22-year-old should be getting a superior wage to the club’s chief executive Peter Lawwell:

Whatever it takes to keep him should be the motto ! No exceptions. We kept Henrik for a long time, the era and game were different then,but his quality was glaringly obvious as is eddy’s. Keeping him for at least the 10 has to be priority .
