Celtic are continuing their efforts to make additions to their squad this summer and could be on the verge of landing one of their targets.
The former Anfield manager gave the Spaniard his debut for the Reds back in September 2015 and it is believed the 21-year-old would be delighted to work with him again in Scotland.
The lure of Champions League football could convince the former Valencia man to head to Glasgow, after the Bhoys defeated the Norwegian outfit in the previous round of qualifying, especially with Nottingham Forest and Swansea City all thought to be interested in the midfielder.
The Verdict:

Chirivella could become an excellent signing for Celtic this summer, in what has been a rather quiet transfer window.
Rodgers already knows the Spaniard from their time at Anfield together and was confident enough to hand him his first-team debut, so he will recognise the potential the 21-year-old has.
The Northern Irishman also has a knack of getting the best out of young talents and Chirivella could be the next man to benefit from working with him once again, with a fee of £3.5m a possible steal.
