Our Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait to host Rangers this weekend as they look to move one step closer to the Scottish Premiership title.
It’s been a season of superlatives for the Bhoys who are still unbeaten in the league ahead of the latest clash between the two great rivals.
For Celtic, then, the challenge has to be to keep the gap as big as it is to the Gers and it appears that part of their plan is to get a new head of player recruitment in as soon as possible.
Indeed, The Daily Mail is of the opinion that Lee Congerton is the man they want with him set to make a decision over whether he joins the club in the coming days.
Congerton has worked for the likes of Sunderland, Chelsea and Hamburg during his time so is very well-travelled and experienced and should be able to do a decent job for the Bhoys.
It’s all about that next step for the club, then, and they’ll be hoping Congerton provides a positive one.
