Celtic’s Green Brigade displayed a banner outside of Celtic Park demanding that chairman Peter Lawwell sacks manager Neil Lennon.
Lawwell to sack Lennon?
The Irish tactician is currently serving his second stint as Bhoys’ boss after taking over from Brendan Rodgers, initially as caretaker, last year, and went on to take the permanent role once more at the end of May (TransferMarkt).
With Celtic having won nine league titles in a row despite their last league campaign being cut short, they have started slowly this season and are 11 points behind Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table.
The North Curve Celtic posted an image of supporters holding the banner with the words “Save the 10 – time to go Neil” outside the ground, who stated how disappointed they were with the results, both domestically and in European competitions, concluding that Lennon is “unable to turn our season around.”

Transfer Tavern take
This is a huge moment in the history of Celtic, let alone for Lennon as an individual. While they still have games in hand and can claw their way back in the Europa League, it is a clear and concise message that has been issued.
The Green Brigade’s message shines the spotlight on tomorrow’s game, as the Bhoys travel to Sparta Prague in the reverse fixture.
Celtic need to turn their fortunes around, but this rather blunt message from supporters has placed an enormous amount of pressure on Lawwell to take major action if Lennon does not get a result this week.
