Celtic officially unveiled their new Japanese website on Thursday morning, with the help of Jota and Kyogo Furuhashi.

The Hoops have had great success in the transfer window after bringing Furuhashi to Scotland, with the forward netting his 14th goal of the season on Thursday night in a 1-0 win over Hearts.

It seems as if Celtic want to tap into the J1 League market once again in the New Year, with a move for versatile midfielder Reo Hatate gathering pace.

Celtic are also confident of signing attacker Daizen Maeda, and it seems as if the club are doing all they can to capitalise on their links with Japan, with Ange Postecoglou evidently wishing to raid the country for those two players.

The Latest: Japanese website

Celtic’s official Japanese Twitter account already has more than 32,000 followers, and the Hoops launched their Japanese website on Thursday morning.

Jota, who went off injured against Hearts, and top scorer Furuhashi were involved in a video promoting the official update, which is available to view here.

The Verdict: Smart thinking

Having a dedicated Japanese website for all things Celtic-related could be a masterstroke by Hoops officials, and who knows, it may even help the club in their attempts to sign Hatate and Maeda over the coming weeks as the Hoops' Oriental ties grow stronger.

Postecoglou is also a well-known figure in the country following his time in charge at Yokohama F. Marinos, and launching the new website could also help the Hoops with regards to the commercial side of things.

Hopefully, Japanese Celtic fans will have more than just Furuhashi to follow in green and white after the January transfer window, and this latest development could prove telling.
