Eddie Howe has been spotted house-hunting in Glasgow ahead of his proposed move to Celtic.

That’s according to Scottish musician Jon Fratelli, reported by The Scottish Sun, who shared the news on Wednesday.

Howe, 43, was thought to be searching around the area close to where Neil Lennon and Rangers boss Steven Gerrard live.

Talking to talkSPORT, relayed by The Scottish Sun, Fratelli said:

"He's been spotted house-hunting in the street next to mine, I can exclusively reveal.

"On the next street down, Steven Gerrard and Neil Lennon have been living across from each other.

"It's one of those neighbourhoods. I would see Neil Lennon around a lot. Steven Gerrard, I would see once or twice, but that's literally the next street down.”

Howe worry emerges

The Daily Mail’s chief football reporter, Sam Mokbel, also shared an update on Howe’s proposed move north on Wednesday, and it's not such good news.

Mokbel was given a comment by Howe’s representative and was told that talks of any deal being close are 'extremely premature'.

Transfer Tavern take

The comments from Howe’s representatives could be due to certain assurances needing to be met before putting pen to paper.

For example, The Sun reported on Tuesday that the former Bournemouth boss wants to bring Cherries ally Richard Hughes with him to Glasgow.

Both parties are also reluctant to rush negotiations, which, we feel, is the right decision.

However, with Howe spotted house-hunting in Glasgow, that can only be a positive thing ahead of being confirmed as the man to potentially lead a Parkhead rebuild.
