Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic should now be considered a club legend at Parkhead because of his impact there, according to journalist Kieran Devlin.

The Lowdown: Rogic a great servant

The Australian has been a mainstay of this Hoops side for many years now, joining the club from Central Coast Mariners back in 2013.

Rogic has enjoyed great success, including winning six Scottish Premiership titles and making 265 appearances for the club overall... and counting.

The midfielder outlined his influence recently with a crucial equaliser away to Rangers last weekend, as Ange Postecoglou's side won 2-1 at Ibrox.

The Latest: Devlin makes big claim

There is no denying Rogic's importance to this current team but Devlin went one further, taking to Twitter to call him a genuine Celtic great:

"His contributions during the 9-in-a-row era already made him a great Celtic player, but I'd argue what he's done this season - including scoring or assisting the winning goal in five games of Celtic's injury-hit December - elevate him into a Celtic Great."

The Verdict: Hard to argue

It is sometimes hard to call a player a legend while they are still in the team but Devlin's assessment is completely fair, with Rogic now surely a Parkhead great, hailed as a 'top player' recently by former Scotland international Alan Hutton.

He is approaching ten years as a Celtic player and his aforementioned six title wins are testament to his consistency in several different squads, not to mention five Scottish Cups and Scottish League Cups apiece.

At 29, Rogic still has plenty to offer, too, and there is no reason why his reputation can't be even more enhanced in the coming years, as long as he extends the deal that expires in the summer of 2023.
