Yosuke Ideguchi will return to the Celtic squad for this afternoon's meeting with Dundee, as per Glasgow Live.

The Lowdown: Ideguchi’s start in Scotland

Ideguchi, who was hailed by his former manager Marcelo Bielsa as a 'very valuable' professional, suffered an injury on his first Celtic start last month.

The midfielder was on the end of a nasty challenge from Alloa's Mouhamed Niang in the Scottish Cup, one which was branded a ‘leg breaker’ by Michael Stewart.

The 25-year-old has missed the last five Premiership fixtures as a result, but it appears as if he will be back in the frame for the visit of Dundee this afternoon.

The Latest: Available again

As reported by Glasgow Live, Ideguchi is available for Ange Postecoglou after missing out on Thursday evening against Bodo/Glimt.

He wasn’t included in the club’s Europa Conference League squad but appears to be back to full fitness following an injury scare last month.

The Verdict: Good news

It hasn’t been the start he would have been hoping for in Glasgow, but it’s good news to hear that Ideguchi is now back available for Postecoglou.

He is yet to make a start in the Premiership, so it’ll be interesting to see what Postecoglou decides this afternoon following a disappointing performance last time out.

Fellow January arrival Reo Hatate could come back into the side, and Postecoglou now has another midfield option in Ideguchi, should he wish to tinker with his starting XI further.
