A month ago today, Kieran Tierney completed a £25m transfer from Celtic to Arsenal on the English Premier League’s transfer deadline day, as reported by BBC.
The 22-year-old left-back departed the Scottish champions after playing 170 times for the club, with eight goals and 37 assists to his name in a Celtic shirt. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]
Celtic fan Adam Lynch on Twitter (@AdamLynch27) still seems stunned by the transfer, tweeting that he “still can’t believe” Tierney is no longer with the Hoops.

The Scotland international‘s deadline day move to Arsenal ended a saga that ran for several weeks over the summer, with Celtic turning down two bids from the Gunners before ultimately relenting on August 9th.
The Sun reported that the Premier League club made an initial £15m bid for the player in June, one which Celtic rejected out of hand, before the Hoops turned down an improved offer of £25m in mid-July, according to BBC.
