Celtic have been linked with a move for Manchester City right-back Yan Couto.

And, as to be expected, a number of Hoops supporters have been reacting to the rumours on social media.

Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph was the man to share the news on Couto, claiming the Hoops were targeting the Brazilian on loan.

Joseph suggested that Couto, who spent last season on loan at Spanish side Girona, is also wanted by clubs in Portugal.

The 19-year-old made 13 appearances as a right-back, 13 as a right-midfielder and one as a right-winger last season, scoring twice and registering five assists during his time with the La Liga 2 side.

He’s yet to feature under Pep Guardiola and it seems as if another temporary move away from the Etihad could be on the cards.

Joseph posted the news on Twitter regarding Celtic’s interest in Couto. This is what these Hoops fans had to say in reply, with many excited at the links and one describing a possible move for 'excellent'.
