Celtic: Hoops could lose Karamoko Dembele as behind the scenes problems emerge - Celtic News

Premiership giants Celtic are reportedly disappointed with youngster Karamoko Dembele because of some behind the scenes issues and they could lose the player soon.

Concerns about his application and development

The Athletic’s Kieran Devlin recently wrote about Dembele’s situation at Parkhead. He said that people at the club are ‘disappointed’ with the youngster and there are certain concerns about his physical development.

The journalist has also been informed that there are worries emerging about his ‘application and attitude’ and that is why he isn’t involved with the Celtic first-team this season. The youngster was set to be more involved in the team this term, but that hasn’t happened so far – even though he has been described as an ‘exceptional talent‘.

Can Celtic afford to lose Karamoko Dembele?

With that in mind, rumours in Spain (via The Daily Record) have claimed that Borussia Dortmund are keeping an eye on the youngster, with Barcelona and Real Madrid also interested in him.

His current deal at Celtic expires at the end of the season and he could move away from Parkhead on a developmental fee. Dembele has made a total of four first-team appearances for the Hoops during his time at Parkhead.

French outlet L’Equipe have previously recognised Dembele as one of the brightest young talents in world football and they believe that he is destined for a ‘great career’ in the future, while Dortmund of course have a reputation for developing young talent.

The Hoops should really be trying everything they can to get him back on track as they can’t afford to lose such a highly rated prospect.
