Charlton boss Lee Bowyer has given his thoughts on his squad’s return to training ahead of a potential Championship season restart.
England’s second tier has been given the go ahead to resume training after a lengthy two month hiatus due to the severe impact of recent events.

In an official club video, Bowyer has commented on the first few sessions back on the training pitch and admits he is ‘over the moon’ with the fitness levels of his players. It’s clear the Addicks have still been match-focused during their self-isolation periods.
If the Championship is to resume, Charlton must dig deep to claw themselves out of the relegation zone. The manager has revealed his plans to introduce more ball work during the upcoming training sessions and said he ‘enjoyed’ the return to Sparrows Lane.
Addicks fans are feeling good following Bowyer’s comments, with one supporter tweeting ‘we are very lucky to have Bows’. It is perhaps unsurprising that the supporters love their manager, given he guided them to promotion from League One last season via the play-offs.
