According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Willian has rejected a new contract offer of a 2-year extension and, perhaps unsurprisingly, loads of Chelsea fans have been sharing their thoughts on Twitter.
The 31-year-old has had a disappointing season for the Blues, featuring in 36 games under former teammate Frank Lampard yet only contributing 6 goals and 5 assists across all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Willian has won 2 Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the League Cup and last year’s Europa League during his time at Stamford Bridge after the Blues reportedly paid £31.95m to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala for the set-piece specialist (Transfermarkt).
Amid links with a move for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, the Chelsea winger’s market value currently sits at £28.80m and some fans are eager to let the serial trophy-winner leave, with one fan urging the board to “let him go and get me Sancho ASAP.” With that in mind, here’s a look at how some of the fanbase online reacted.

I believe he has done his bit. Right now, Chelsea is rebuilding the team. He should make way for the younger ones coming in (that’s if he’s not taking what Chelsea is offering).

6 goals in 40 games this season. Thank you for your service over the years but it’s time we move forward.
