Hummels has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and as one of our punters notes over a couple of games of pool with our landlord, we thought Manchester United were first in the queue to land him – before Jose Mourinho cast his eye that is.
A couple of our Chelsea fans in the Tavern note that while we want to see the Blues land a defender this summer, Raphael Varane should be top of their list and this could well just be paper talk – with Mourinho a known fan of the Frenchman and Hummels making noises about moving to Manchester United.
