Chelsea fans can’t understand their side’s interest in Gonzalo Higuain

It’s been an exciting few days for Chelsea. It seems that the club is very much like the buses that can be seen throughout the Blues’ city – with two buses coming at once after weeks of silence in the form of two major acquisitions. Both Jorginho and Maurizio Sarri have moved to Stamford Bridge in recent days, kick-starting the Blues’ summer as a result.

It now seems likely that Chelsea will invest heavily in the coming weeks, with not a lot of time left in the summer window. Some major improvements are needed after their poor campaign last term, and Sarri clearly has his work cut out.

One player that, according to the Express, Chelsea are keen on is Argentine forward Maurizio Sarri. The attacker was crucial for Sarri at Napoli before the forward moved to Juventus, and it appears as though the new Chelsea boss wants a reunion with his old player.

A move would be a surprise, given Higuain’s age, but alas, there is a chance it could happen it seems, much to the frustration of many Chelsea fans online.

Chelsea supporters have taken to Twitter to discuss the reports, and it’s fair to say that they can’t work it out. They’re saying he’s too old, and moreover, that he just isn’t suitable.

Not too keen on the idea of signing a soon-to-be 31 year old in #Higuain. Would much prefer to keep #Morata and try have Sarri turn him into something more of a deadly finisher. Least the board are backing manager though, that's a very good sign #CFC
