Mason Mount has continued to impress many Chelsea fans after a solid display in the middle of the park against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Blues were able to keep their heads down and pull back a win after conceding in the first half to the relegation battlers. Goals from Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud secured the all-important three points to keep them on track for Champions League football next term.
In the comments replying to an Instagram post from the club featuring the midfield, loads of fans praised Mount for his performance, after he successfully completed two tackles, one key pass and one shot on target (via Sofascore).

Some Chelsea supporters are even going as far as stating they shouldn’t look to bring in heavily linked transfer target Kai Havertz. The Bundesliga star, worth a reported £90m, is a name that continues to be associated with Frank Lampard’s side. An update from Nico Schira (via Sportslens) claimed that the west London outfit are in pole position to sign the 21-year-old.
However, Mount is the same age as Havertz and is also bringing in some impressive numbers. The Englishman’s stats this season see him on six goals and five assists in the Premier League, which will likely continue to rise (via Transfermarkt). Plus, with Mount always improving, Chelsea could save some serious money to instead strengthen other areas of the squad.
