The days are down to single figures as Chelsea continue their countdown to their first match back in action in the Premier League.
Before the break, Frank Lampard’s side were in fine form and managed to climb their way into a very respectable fourth place. Players like Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount have impressed with their clinical nature, tallying 19 goals between them so far this term (via Transfermarkt).
However, one player in particular who hasn’t cut the mustard for Blues fans is Ross Barkley. Supporters are making it known that they aren’t happy with the former Everton man’s performances, slamming him on the club’s Instagram post which features him in the countdown to the league restart.

Several Blues are even calling for the club to cash in on Barkley, claiming he hasn’t done enough to solidify his place at Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old has been limited to just 13 league appearances this summer (via Transfermarkt) losing out on valuable minutes to the likes of Mount and Mateo Kovacic.
Barkley joined Chelsea in 2018 for a fee of £15million from boyhood club Everton (via BBC Sport), but the midfielder has scored just eight goals in that time.
With Lampard looking to kit out his side ahead of next season, the midfielder will need to pull up his socks and make a statement before this term finishes if he wants to ensure a future with the Blues.
