Loads of Chelsea fans have been criticising defender Fikayo Tomori following his lacklustre display in the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old was one of Chelsea’s worst performers, earning a dismal 6.3 match rating before being withdrawn. Out of the players who started, only Jorginho (6.0), who was also substituted, and Willy Caballero (6.2) recorded worse ratings. As one supporter on Twitter put it, it was a “disasterclass”.
Indeed, it would have been a hugely disappointing afternoon for Tomori, who is trying to get back into the reckoning again. Of late, the England international has been playing second fiddle, with Frank Lampard utilising the likes of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger in central defence instead.

Before yesterday, Tomori had failed to feature in the Premier League since the 2-1 win away at Arsenal at the end of last year, showing his standing in the squad right now. And his performance against Bournemouth has certainly not done anything to improve it.

Tomori needs a year loan in Serie A. He needs to learn how to defend.

Let’s be real, it was very poor defending from Tomori. We can love him all we want, but this has been a poor display from him.
