Chelsea: Fans laud Branislav Ivanovic after his comments on the club

Chelsea fans have been lauding Branislav Ivanovic after the former Blues defender complimented the west London giants.

The Serbian professed his love for the Stamford Bridge side as he labelled them as the ‘best club in the world’ (via The Athletic).

He also commented on former teammate Frank Lampard, claiming the Englishman would be successful in any job in the world.

Ivanovic joined the club for a mere £10.8m back in the winter of 2008 and helped them reach the Champions League final that year.

After spending just under 10 years at Chelsea, Ivanovic enjoyed profound success with the west London side, making more than 350 appearances for the club as he won 11 major trophies (via Transfermarkt).

Fans are lavishing the Zenit Saint Petersburg player with praise after his comments on the club as they took to Twitter to react.
