Chelsea fans on Twitter were absolutely loving the club’s Eden Hazard throwback

The Chelsea fans have been reminiscing over Eden Hazard’s stunning goal against Tottenham Hotspur on this day two years ago to win the Premier League title for Leicester City. The game that has since been dubbed the ‘battle of the bridge’ finished 2-2, despite Spurs leading 2-0. Hazard suffered a quiet season before finding his form just in time to deny Spurs a chance at winning their first Premier League brown.

This season has been better for Chelsea than the 2015/16 one was, although it’s likely they’ll finish in the same way, trophyless and with no Champions League football to look forward to. Antonio Conte’s side are fifth in the Premier League this season and five points off of 4th placed Spurs with just nine points left available to the club this campaign. The saving grace for Conte could be the FA Cup, which they’ll be looking to win after falling at the last hurdle last season.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea recently became the first Chelsea side to lose at home to Tottenham last month when a Dele Alli double downed the Blues 3-1. The Lilywhites win this season was their first at Stamford Bridge for 28 years and the Eden Hazard strike two years ago did just about enough to keep their unbeaten home run over Tottenham going. Hazard has since picked up his form since an awful 2015/16 campaign and could be on the radar for Real Madrid, who will be looking to recruit after suffering an abysmal season this season.
