Several Chelsea fans have been praising midfielder Ross Barkley for his performance in the Blues’ 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday.
Barkley, who has mostly been a bit-part player this season, was brought into the side by manager Frank Lampard and did not disappoint. He set up the second goal of the game after his pass found Marcos Alonso, who rifled home, and managed to make an overall impact.
Alongside goalscorer Olivier Giroud, Barkley registered the most shots during the game with four and also recorded two key passes. No player made more, with the likes of Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho also managing to notch up two (via WhoScored).

The 26-year-old will now be hoping to keep his place in the team with that massive fixture against Bayern Munich in the Champions League next up for the west London club.
