Billy Gilmour has penned a new deal with Chelsea, committing himself to the west London club for the next four years, via Chelseafc.com.
The Scotland Under-21 international is held in high regard at Stamford Bridge and featured for the Blues during their pre-season tour of Ireland during the summer.
The 18-year-old was introduced as a second-half substitute against Sheffield United before the international break and could feature some more, with the Champions League and EFL Cup fast approaching to add to the Blues’ schedule.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website after signing his new deal, Gilmour said: “It’s really exciting for me and my family to sign this four-year deal with the club.
“Frank has come in and everyone is buzzing, training is really good and there’s a high standard to everything we do. There are exciting times ahead and hopefully I can work hard to get more opportunities as well.”
