Chelsea: Fans thrilled after links with Bayer Leverkusen youngster Kai Havertz

Chelsea fans are thrilled after reports from Bild of their interest in the highly-rated youngster Kai Havertz.

According to the German publication, the Blues have registered their interest in the Germany international, joining three other Premier League clubs in doing so this season.

Havertz is one of the most sought after young players in world football with clubs like Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid all having talked to the player.

However, he will not prove to be a cheap transfer with Bayer Leverkusen reportedly demanding €130m (roughly £111m) for the 20-year-old.

Widespread interest comes after a sensational campaign for Havertz last season, where he scored 17 goals in the Bundesliga, the most ever managed by a teenager (via Bundesliga).
