Last season was a poor one for Chelsea, but to make matters worse for the club, their activity so far this summer has been just as poor. They’re yet to make a major signing, whilst their managerial dramas have caused repercussions elsewhere at the club too.

In truth, things genuinely couldn’t be much worse for the club, and that has naturally led to a lot of negativity at Stamford Bridge.
Fortunately, things appear to be turning around.
The Blues appear to be edging closer to a solution both in their managerial chase and in their pursuit of fresh talent. Recent reports, notably from the Daily Mail, have indicated that the club are keen on landing Aleksandr Golovin.
Golovin, who is rated at £16.2 million by Transfer Markt, has had a sensational World Cup so far, having emerged as one of the nation’s most impressive performers. Able to play both in central midfield and out wide, he’s got bags of natural talent.
Naturally, Chelsea fans are quick to react to any transfer-related news, and this story has been no different. Plenty of fans have taken to Twitter to talk about the rumour, and it’s fair to say that most want to see him join the club.

Clearly, Chelsea fans have been very impressed by Golovin, and it’s easy to see why. If Russia continue to progress at the World Cup, he will undoubtedly have a crucial role to play.
