Oliver Bierhoff has admitted he thinks young German Kai Havertz is already up to Real Madrid’s standards.
The sporting director for the German national team has opened up on the youngster’s future and believes a huge move should be on the cards for him.
“He’s a player for Real Madrid,” laughed Bierhoff, speaking to Marca (via Daily Star). “I know, but I mean it. He’s a player for Real Madrid. He’s very young, but has everything – talent, technique, physique.”

Havertz is one of the most sought-after young talents at the moment, with Chelsea in particular bending over backwards to secure a deal. Bayer Leverkusen are demanding £90 million for the starlet but it seems the Blues are fully in favour of splashing the cash (Sky Sports).
A move to West London would see the 21-year-old play in one of the best leagues in the world, alongside fellow Germany internationals Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger. However, Bierhoff clearly has his sights set in higher places for Havertz.
“He’s a complete player who will be very important for us, but he has to keep growing,” the 52-year-old said.

The midfielder’s goal contribution tally has turned a lot of heads as he boasts 17 goals and nine assists for this season (via Transfermarkt). Havertz has made it clear he wants to leave Leverkusen, but the Bundesliga side require his services for their Europa League run (according to Bild, via Daily Star).
It remains to be seen whether the Blues can secure his signature, or whether the Spanish giants come in with a bid of their own.
