Sky Sports have Chelsea fans looking pleased here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they officially confirm that Mohamed Salah has left Stamford Bridge to join Fiorentina on loan for the rest of the season.
The Egyptian winger has hardly had a chance to impress Jose Mourinho this season and when handed a place in the line-up, has been nothing but a let down.
In fact as one of our punters notes, his only decent performances have come against Chelsea in a FC Basel shirt!
Now Fiorentina have agreed to take him on loan for the rest remainder of the season and it appears obvious that he was used as a bargaining chip in the deal which brought Viola star Juan Cuadrado to West London earlier this evening.
Salah will finally have the chance to play more than ten minutes of a cup fixture and we think that this is the ideal move for the player who was once hailed as the ‘Egyptian Messi’.
