Jamie Sanderson from Metro has some stunning transfer rumours to brighten up the Football Transfer Tavern this evening.
Sanderson suggests to excited punters that Chelsea could move again for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa and may include Fernando Torres as part of the deal.
Jose Mourinho is thought to have made signing a top quality forward his number one priority for the summer transfer window after disappointing performances by his current strikeforce.
The Blues were linked with world class Premier League forwards Wayne Rooney and Luiz Suarez last summer and we can expect similar at the end of the current season.
According to recent reports in the tavern, Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has been targeted by Jose while Costa is also thought to be on his radar.
Sanderson explains that it is understood the Blues made a January offer for the Brazilian-born striker, who is now eligible to play for Spain at the upcoming World Cup, but it was immediately rejected by the La Liga outfit.
However that is unlikely to put off Chelsea who are readying a new bid for the summer which could include one of their current crop.
Torres, who is regarded as a legendary figure at Atletico, could be part of the deal along with £20 million as the Blues try to tempt the La Liga high flyers into selling Costa.
