The Daily Express have Chelsea fans on the edge of their seats here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that the Blues are ready to land a world class forward.
After seeing Manchester City agree a fee for Swansea City’s Wilfried Bony, it seems that Jose Mourinho is willing to land Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund given it seems Andre Schurrle has wasted the last of his chances.
The German international has been struck down by injury and illness this season and Mourinho seems to have finally tired of him.
It appears these wasted chances haven’t gone unnoticed by Mourinho and the Portuguese boss now wants a replacement that will rock the footballing world.
Reus will be leaving Dortmund come the summer but as our landlord notes, no decision is yet to be made when it comes to a potential destination.
We think that despite Real Madrid currently being the front runners for Reus’ signature, Chelsea will have to go some to get this deal over the line just yet.
