It’s been a long week for the Chelsea fans propping up the bar, who’ve been forced to deal with the jokes and jibes of the Spurs supporting punters since the loss at White Hart Lane.
In many ways, it’s been a bizarre season for the Blues, who embarked on a 13-match winning run after dismal losses to Liverpool and Arsenal before being downed by Dele Alli and company at the Lane.
So reports from the Daily Telegraph have proved even more confusing.
They claim the west London giants are considering a shock move for Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente in January as a backup to compatriot Diego Costa.
Antonio Conte is believed to want to keep Michy Batshuayi at the club, despite his reported desire to leave on loan, though the World Cup winner could well be of interest at Stamford Bridge.
He only joined the Swans in the summer, though they are currently entrenched in a relegation battle and the Spaniard played under Conte at Juventus.
He’s notched six goals for a largely poor side at the Liberty Stadium and it’s understood the 31-year-old would be keen on a move to SW6.
