The Wayne Rooney debate rumbles on for many of the punters in the Transfer Tavern, particularly the Manchester United supporting ones.
Perhaps the most divisive figure in the Premier Leauge, the 30-year-old has recently been backed for a lucrative move to the Chinese Super League after seemingly losing his place at Old Trafford.
Though he remains captain of both club and country, the former Everton prodigy has been dropped to the bench by Jose Mourinho.
Despite his standing as the Red Devils’ second top goalscorer of all time, the notion England skipper’s leaving for the Far East has had fans on Twitter in delirious delight.
With more dynamic options emerging for both United and the Three Lions, Old Father Time could now have caught up with the man once hailed as England’s saviour over a decade ago.
That being said, here are the SIX funniest Man United fan reactions to Rooney’s Chinese whispers.
