Christian Pulisic is wanted by many Chelsea fans on Twitter

With less than two weeks to go until the summer transfer window closes, Chelsea have a lot of work to do. Maurizio Sarri’s men have looked good during pre-season, but the real task lies ahead.

Indeed, last season was a poor one for the Blues, and a new manager – or indeed, simply a few new faces – will not be enough to make things better.

What Chelsea need is a strong end to the summer, with at least a few major new names coming in.

Fortunately, according to the Mirror, the Blues are working to that end, with the publication reporting that Christian Pulisic is a key target for the Blues.

Reportedly set to cost around £65 million, Pulisic would be a very costly signing – but he also could be a very lucrative acquisition off the pitch.

He’d go down as the most expensive American transfer ever, and he’s also quickly emerging as a poster boy in American soccer. Naturally, then, for Chelsea – the marketing implications of a deal could be huge, not to mention his pace and technical quality on the field.

Unsurprisingly, then, Chelsea fans would love for the deal to go ahead, and many have taken to Twitter over the last day or so to call for him to move to the club.
