Bad news for the Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
There have been more than a few stand out players in the Liverpool first team so far this season – but no star is shining brighter than that of England ace Adam Lallana at present.
The attacking midfielder struggled to adapt to life at Anfield at first, but he has come on leaps and bounds since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp – and he has now cemented himself as one of the most important players in the Reds’ first team.
He has also become a fan favourite of the Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern in the process – and so this surprising piece of news will no doubt disappoint them…
According to the Sun, French giants PSG are reportedly eyeing a shock move for the England international – with a move of £40m and a contract offer of £200,000 set to be on the table.
An insider reportedly told the Sun that: “The club want the best players — and he is one of them.”
Whilst Lallana has been in fine form – this move definitely comes as a surprise. Very rarely do English players move out of the Premier League, and whilst Lallana has impressed for Liverpool – PSG are, at present, a very different beast to the historic Premier League side.
The Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate for Klopp to hold on to his star man, as they feel that his pressing style is vital to Klopp’s system.
Lallana has made 10 starts in the Premier League this season, having gained 3 goals and 5 assists in the process.
