Chelsea fans enjoying an ale here in the Transfer Tavern have been alerted to a news story from the Sun which our landlord has brought to the punters’ attention.
The outlet claims that Premier League champions Leicester City will attempt to strike a deal with Chelsea in the summer to secure the signing of clinical Chelsea star Tammy Abraham, be it on loan or a permanent deal.
The 19-year-old has been nothing short of sensational this season, banging in 24 goals for Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City, in what has been a real breakthrough campaign for the starlet.
Our landlord has been down to Ashton Gate a handful of times this season to watch Tammy in action, and has been impressed every time, with the striker’s movement, agility and lethal finishing second to none.
A handful of Foxes fans here in the Tavern are still reeling after their frustrating 4-2 defeat to Everton today, but are optimistic about a potential deal for Abraham, with them all agreeing they’d be delighted to see the England under-21 star ply his trade at the King Power Stadium next season.
This has caused a divide here in the Tavern amongst Chelsea fans though, with some feeling it makes sense for him to get game-time on loan at a Premier League side, whilst some feel he could do a job in the first-team at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea fans…. What do you make of this news? Should he stay or go? Let us know below!
