Spurs fans were glued to the telly here in the Transfer Tavern last night as our landlord flicked to Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal for a whole host of reasons.
Of course, they all love to watch the beautiful game and were hoping for an Eagles win to heap further misery on their bitter rivals, but Wilfried Zaha’s upward trajectory is also of interest to the Lilywhites given reports that the Ivory Coast international is a target for Mauricio Pochettino’s side ahead of the summer transfer window.
And it’s fair to say that they were not let down by the winger, who notched two assists in a truly excellent performance at Selhurst Park. The former Manchester United completed an on-pitch high five dribbles and played four key passes, proving himself to be a real thorn in the Gunners’ side as they went down 3-0.
And it’s not just Spurs followers here in the Tavern who were raving about Zaha both during and after the match, with plenty of fans on Twitter calling for the club to make a move for the red-hot wide-man…
