Phillipe Coutinho’s decision to leave Liverpool for Barcelona now looks to be an ill-judged one.
The Brazil international was a star at Anfield, scoring 20 goals in his last 45 league games, but he was desperate to make the move to the Camp Nou – he even handed in a transfer request in August 2017. It wasn’t until six months later when he finally got his switch, with the Spanish side paying £107m up front and £35m in add-ons.

Now, he is on loan at Bayern Munich after failing to make the grade in La Liga, and there are reports that the Bundesliga outfit do not want to sign him permanently either.
The current pandemic has wreaked havoc across the planet, including in football as well. As per The Daily Mail, Liverpool are unlikely to receive that £35m due to the situation.

The Anfield team’s supporters have been reacting to the news, and it is fair to say they are livid with the fact that they could lose out on such a sum – one fan even called Barca “fraudsters“. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
