Crystal Palace fans in the Football Transfer Tavern share their manager’s confidence after talkSPORT revealed how Neil Warnock is hopeful of completing a deal to sign Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
The Eagles supposedly launched a £6m bid on Tuesday and they are confident that he will be allowed to leave, after the Swans agreed a deal to sign Benfica star Nelson Oliveira on loan.
The 29-year-old only arrived at the Liberty Stadium last summer from Lyon but he has struggled to secure a place in the starting line up following Wilfried Bony’s untouchable form.
He has not really made the most of the chances offered to him and Gary Monk could choose to cash in on him in January because he has only scored twice in 17 outings.
It is rumoured that the struggling striker has a release clause of £7m, but this is not active until the end of the season.
Warnock said: “We’ve made offers for a number of strikers and been looking at strikers at home and abroad.
“We are short, especially as Marouane Chamakh’s been out injured and we have lacked that physical presence up top. We’re hoping to get one of those over the line in the first couple of weeks.”

After today loosing 1-3 I doubt if the strikers we have will want to stay never mind bringing in new ones. Give it up parish and get tony pulis back and give him what he wants. No good playing in division one next season with gomas or mitchu , fuck off parish and sell the club already.
