Loads of Crystal Palace have been furious after AsistAnaliz reported that Real Madrid were interested in signing striker Alexander Sorloth in the summer transfer window.
The Norwegian striker is still contracted to the Eagles but has been sent out on loan to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor for a couple of seasons (cpfc.co.uk). It is fair to say that his performances in Turkey have been impressive, indeed he has managed to score 19 goals in just 22 Super Lig appearances whilst also providing five assists (Transfermarkt).
According to AsistAnaliz that has led to interest from the Spanish giants in him, but unfortunately for Palace, they would miss out on a big transfer fee if they did come in for him.
Indeed, there is an option-to-buy clause in his loan deal with Trabzonspor which means that they can buy him for €6 million (£5 million) and they will then reportedly slap a €50 million (£42 million) asking price on him.
It is fair to say that plenty of Palace fans can’t believe this latest development, with some slating the people behind the scenes at the club for allowing this to happen by including the option-to-buy clause in Sorloth’s loan.
