A post by a Crystal Palace fan page on Twitter has led to one player’s name being on the lips of many fans as they discuss who they believe should get the Player of the Season award.
The player is forward Jordan Ayew, who has had a renaissance since his loan move at the club got turned into a £2.52 million permanent deal last summer, per Transfermarkt.
During the 18/19 campaign he only managed one goal, whilst completing just 0.6 dribbles per game, via WhoScored, however this season, he has already scored eight and manages on average 2 dribbles per game, showing significant improvement.
This attacking confidence that has grown within the player has been crucial for the South London side as his goals on their own have provided a club record 17 points for the Eagles in England’s top flight, via the Premier League, and without them the club would be sitting in 19th place instead of 13th, via BBC Sport.
It is fair to say that the Palace faithful have respected his great performances as they flooded to the post, whilst Spaniard Vicente Guaita was also a notable mention.
