Crystal Palace fans are getting excited as the January transfer window draws to a close, with it looking like they’ll get Nathan Ferguson through the door. The Mail have reported that he’s having a medical today.
The 19-year-old has played 21 of West Brom’s 29 games so far in the Championship this season, and he’s showing experience well beyond his years at full-back. He makes more tackles per game than anyone else in the squad, 2.4, and has the seventh highest Who Scored rating too at 6.85/10.
West Brom now haven’t won any of their last five league matches and have slipped to second, just two points above Nottingham Forest, so Ferguson may have to move to guarantee Premier League football next season. When The Athletic’s Dominic Fifield posted news of the update on his switch, fans were buzzing in the replies.
