Loads of Crystal Palace fans have made their feelings clear on Vicente Guaita’s contract situation at the club.
The 33-year-old’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season with discussions over an extension possibly set to take place in the summer, according to The Athletic. The same outlet also reports that Palace have the option to extend his deal now by a further year, but supporters have made it known that they want to see him signed up for longer.
Guaita has been impressive in the Premier League this season, managing to keep six clean sheets in 20 appearances. He has also made 12 high claims in the current campaign, placing him in the top 10 for that department and thus showing his aerial authority.
When you take the above into account, it is no surprise that the Palace faithful want him to stay. Conceding just 24 goals, the fourth-best record in the Premier League this term, the Spaniard has really helped the Eagles to become a solid outfit at the back.
