Crystal Palace: Fans discuss James Vaughan following club post

A lot of Crystal Palace fans have been quick to reply to a club post on Twitter about former striker James Vaughan, where the player talks about his time at Selhurst Park.

The Englishman, who currently has three goals in eight appearances for Tranmere Rovers, (Transfermarkt), spoke highly of his career in South London, as he said, via Crystal Palace: “I still hold Palace very highly with regards to the fans and the club. My only regret is I didn’t stay at Palace.”

He clearly holds the Eagles in high regard which is a great thing for the fanbase to hear, especially as he only played 30 times for them, scoring nine times and picking up three assists, per Transfermarkt.

At the age of 22 the Eagles tried to sign him permanently, however the player was more attracted to Norwich City, who were playing a division above the South London side in the Premier League at the time, per Crystal Palace.

It is understandable to see why Vaughan decided to pick the Canaries, but it is a shame that he wasn’t at Selhurst Park for longer in his career as he clearly loved playing at the club.

Fans seem to have a soft spot for him regardless. Here is what they had to say following the club post:
