Many Crystal Palace fans have been discussing what the latest is on developments for their new stand at Selhurst Park.

In December 2017, the club announced that they were going to be redeveloping the stadium to increase the capacity from 26,000 to 34,000, with the main stand getting a complete revamp.
However, nearly two years on from the initial announcements, it seems to have gone rather quiet.
At the time, Steve Parish said that it would take around three years to complete from when it started, and that work could begin “within 12 months” (via BBC).
But given that it has now been nearly double that, it is hard to know where Palace stand with these developments.
Now a Palace fan on Twitter, @ChrissyPalace, has tweeted asking what is going on with the developments, as you can read below…
Being in the Prem for 7 years in a row is class and i never thought I would c the day.
BUT What ever happened to this? Great that we are building the academy but quite embarrassing that we still haven’t progressed the stadium, feels we are falling further behind. #CPFC @CEO4TAG pic.twitter.com/tFnJbn9r6W

Many fans responded on Twitter, as you can imagine. Some feel as if the Sainsbury’s situated within Selhurst Park is the main problem, while others just think it’s a media spin.
Here are some of the replies below…

It was all media spin. Parish is a master of it.

There is loads of reports saying Sainsbury’s is the reason for the delay.. imo the club is doing it the right way, to be a top side you have to have top facilities.. they are rebuilding the club from the bottom up and using Roys ability to get results with little to no money
