A lot of Crystal Palace fans are heavily in a debate over Cenk Tosun after the Evening Standard has reported that they will look into signing him permanently once he has recovered from his injury in the summer.
Tosun arrived on loan at Palace from Everton, surely hoping to reignite his Premier League career and make sure he was fit to play for Turkey in the European Championships. However, sadly for both Tosun and the Eagles, the Turkish striker suffered a serious knee injury in training and had to return back to Everton.
In fact, he wasn’t actually a starter for Palace but filled in when others were injured. In fact, he managed five games for the South London club, mostly off the bench, but started in their fixture away at the Etihad, where he managed to score his only goal for the club.
Christian Benteke’s form has been improving given he managed an assist against Brighton whilst Jordan Ayew has been superb this season, so it is up to the hierarchy at Palace to decide if it is worth spending £20 million on a substitute striker.

Get a grip Palace. We don’t need to track anything. £20m for a crippled 27 year old with a poor record would have taken a lot to be justified. It still hasn’t been. We don’t need to ‘track’ anything. Move on.

Depends on the other options..
Example: If Michy’s available for £30m I’d pay the extra £10m rather than pay £20m for Cenk.

No.
Better options for 20m out there that are not coming of a major surgery.

Yep easily showed when he did play what he can offer but if he’s still injured then don’t bother

He barely got a chance, but when he did play he looked pretty mobile and useful. Plus he scored a couple in very little time. Had he not got injured I think he would have been wortha punt at 20m. Post injury, who knows.

The club have so many older players already that we need to target a younger backup who can slowly work their way in. Bring in someone who can replace Benteke at the end of next season when his contract expires. Older players coming back from long injuries can be a risk too.
