Several Crystal Palace supporters have been discussing on social media whether they think Wilfried Zaha will still be at the club for the 2020/21 season.
The Ivory Coast international has long been tipped to leave Selhurst Park and many thought that he would leave last summer, with The Telegraph reporting that Everton made offers for the forward only to be rebuffed after failing to match the Eagles’ valuation.
He has therefore remained with the club for the current season, but his form hasn’t been great. Indeed he has managed to score just three league goals, although he has provided five assists (Transfermarkt).
However, there is still likely to be interest in him once again when the summer transfer window opens. He has proven in the past that he can be a quality operator at Premier League level – last season he netted 10 goals and provided 10 assists (Transfermarkt) and, at just 27, he still has plenty of years left in him.
It seems that most Palace fans expect their talismanic forward to finally leave the club at the end of the season, with many admitting that they wouldn’t blame him for moving on. Here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…
Personally hope he’s set free, he deserves a club with ambition . I’d hate to think Crystal Palace wastes his career because our owners have no intention of going for Europe and are content to just survive

He’s gone 100% but we’ll only get about 50mil this time

He will go and I don’t blame him must be frustrating playing in a defensive minded team where he has to track back all the time

No he must move on. He’s everything to the club and we love him but a dynamic manager is required and Woy is far from that I’m afraid.

Not a chance

I don’t want him to stay. just let him move on and build on his career. He’s done enough to place himself as a Palace great. If he wanted to stay that would be fantastic. If he doesn’t, I couldn’t care where he went. Just let him leave so we as a club can move on too.
