A lot of Crystal Palace fans do not believe the latest transfer rumours that were reported by Gazzetta dello Sport via Sports Witness that said the club had gone to watch a Serie B match to scout Martin Erlic.
Palace, along with fellow Premier League side Southampton, had supposedly gone to watch Erlic, who plays for Spezia, in a match against Ascoli on Monday.
However, due to recent events, many countries like Italy have imposed a travel ban, per NPR, and many fans of the Eagles feel like with this ban, there is no way the club could have been scouting the player.
The player has had a good season in Italy’s second division, per Sofascore, as he has three clean sheets, managing 1.2 interceptions per game and 3.2 clearances per game, whilst only being dribbled past on average 0.1 times a game.

It will be interesting to see how scouting will affect the summer transfer window plans with the recent travel bans.

Sending scouts to watch a player who won’t play as all the games are postponed? I don’t think so..

They’ve sent scouts to a country that is in lock down to watch a player that won’t be playing for the foreseeable future… Sounds real legit

Where are we watching him, through his bedroom window from a great distance?
