Crystal Palace fans were left fuming with Roy Hodgson’s decision to bring on Max Meyer with just five minutes to go in their game against Newcastle United and took to Twitter to vent their frustrations towards him.

The Eagles had just gone behind to Miguel Almiron’s first ever Premier League goal, which appeared to prompt the Selhurst Park outfit into making their only change of the game.
However, it clearly did not work for Hodgson as it hardly allowed for Meyer to get into the game and make the desired impact he would have hoped for.
Fans were clearly fuming with the manager’s decision to leave it as long as he did to make a substitute in the first-place, with many suggesting that it was time to freshen things up in the dugout by calling for a change of their own.
Some supporters felt the former England manager was playing a joke on them with his decision, whilst one felt it was normal for Hodgson to get his decision-making as bad as he did.
Here are just some of their reactions to the substitution decision…

Wow so much time to make an impact…

Roy’s poor in-game management strikes again! He ignores Newcastle making 2 substitutions and only makes a change when we go a goal down … so frustrating to wave away 3 potential points. #CPFC
