Many Palace fans have responded on Twitter to the announcement of their new alternative kit this season.
There was a mixed reception from the fans, with many happy that the club has kept their sash from their away kit in the last campaign, though many seemed to prefer the previous season’s kit much more.
The Puma kit, like last season’s away kit, has a white base but incorporates a red and blue sash across the shirt. The sash has now adapted styles so that it features a red diagonal sash overlapping the bigger blue one.
The kit also has white shorts and white socks to accompany the white theme.
Palace announced the new kit alongside new signing Gary Cahill, who has become the Eagles’ third new signing of the window, with the centre-back allegedly signing a two-year deal worth £75,000-per-week, according to The Guardian.
The kit has been made available via the club website, but Palace fans might want to hold off a few days before they jump in and get a new shirt with a name on the back, as there could be a few more incomings before the end of the window, according to manager Roy Hodgson, who recently spoke to Sky Sports’ Michael Bridge.
Fans have struggled to make their minds up about the new shirt, with some fans saying they have “seen better” and that it’s “nothing special”, while others called it “bespoke” and one user even suggested for it to be the home kit.

@PUMA have completely smashed all three kits this season. How on earth are you supposed to choose one to buy?!

Should be our first kit.

Not the classic sash but a decent variation on it. Theres a lot worse puma kits this season and at least all of ours are bespoke.
