According to Sport Bild (via Sport Witness), the Bundesliga outfit had been interested in signing Meyer, but they now believe he is not good enough for their side.

That may come as a disappointment to the 24-year-old, who has found game time hard to come by at Selhurst Park following his move from Schalke in 2018. This season, he has only managed to start five games in the Premier League, really highlighting his lack of opportunities in south London.
Some supporters, however, are pleased to see that a move has not materialised — and it is not hard to see why.
He had the best pass success rate (83.9%) out of all of Palace’s midfield regulars in the Premier League last season (via WhoScored), showing the kind of composed presence he can bring to the middle of the park.

Max was left to run his contract down so didn’t play for months then came to us and first season in the prem is hard for anyone but showed flashes of what he can do and now being played out of position or not being used at all remember he’s only 24 be silly to sell him
