Lots of Crystal Palace fans have responded in droves to the rumour that Gary Cahill is being targeted by Roy Hodgson.
The former England and Chelsea centre-back has been linked with a reunion with his former coach, according to the Daily Mail.
Crystal Palace are hoping to convince Gary Cahill to join them ahead of Burnley and West Ham.
Roy Hodgson wants the free agent for his experience and leadership.

The report from the Mail suggests that Palace are after the defender for his experience and leadership skills.
The club will be fighting against West Ham and Burnley – who have been linked with the defender all summer, according to the report – for the signature of the 33-year-old.
It is claimed that Cahill is keen for the Palace deal as he wants to stay within the capital and the centre-half is available on a free after his contract with Chelsea expired at the end of last season.
There’s been a varied response from Palace fans: plenty have announced their discontent at signing a player who is so old and who would require such steep wages (the Evening Standard suggested he was on £130kp/w at Chelsea); alternatively, some think he would be great cover at the back for what is quite an injury-prone backline.
Here are some of the responses below…
Nope. Don’t need a CB. Especially not one who’s past his peak and will likely be on massive wages.

Ageing player.
High wages
Yep we’re getting him 100%— reyz (@cpfcreyz) August 1, 2019
So with only Max Meyer the only current first team regular under 25, is this really what we need another aging player? Not for me

I might be the only person that thinks this – but at this moment, it's a necessary signing. Mama is on his way back but rusty, Dann (though it pains me to say it) form has fallen off a cliff, no sign of Tomkins this summer. Which leaves us with what in the CB position?

Bit of luck Freedman is trying to convince him so safe to say he won't be joining
