A lot of Crystal Palace fans have been discussing former defender Jonathan Parr, after a post on Twitter from a fan talking about the player’s career.
The Norwegian enjoyed a successful spell at the club, making 101 appearances and even managing to score two goals for the South London side, via Transfermarkt. It seems like the left-back will go down as a hero in the eyes of many Palace fans as he was a key member of the 2012/13 Championship side that achieved promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs. One fan said: “Hero! Anybody from that team in 2013 put a massive shift in, also committed to the team and club!”
He was also able to play in England’s top flight, as he made 15 appearances, but former manager Ian Holloway preferred Dean Moxey over him and Parr moved on a free transfer to Ipswich in the summer of 2014, via Transfermarkt.
Nowadays, the 31 year-old plays back in his home country, in the Eliteserien league for Strømsgodset.
Here is what fans had to say about the former Palace player:

Scored a beauty of a goal at the Holmesdale end if I remember right, just outside the box, top bins.

Hero. Put in a shift and had a spell pre injury when he played really well.

I liked him. Gave us quality & industry in the Champ’shp. Made the left back spot his own. Unlucky with injuries. Moxey was preferred by Holloway, but not sure whether he was the better player. Did ok in his few Prem appearances under Pulis. Sorry he left..definately not a zero.
